Items to Remain at School
The School provides textbooks , art supplies , workbooks and school supplies for Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7 . In Grade 6 to 7 , students will bring some of their own personalized school supplies to use in different classrooms . In addition , all students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7 are asked to prepare Emergency Comfort Kits that remain at school . The ECE Centre has specific items that are to remain at school during the year .
EMERGENCY COMFORT KIT
An Emergency Comfort Kit is an emergencypreparedness bag that includes some small items from home . In the case of an emergency that prevents students from going home , the Comfort Kit reassures young students and provides a meaningful link to their family .
The Comfort Kit should include :
• A family picture
• A personal , reassuring note written to your child
• A small , flat game or toy ( e . g . deck of cards , puzzle , crayons , story book , notebook , etc .)
ECE CENTRE SPECIAL ITEMS
It is helpful for certain items to remain at school during the year so that they are accessible at any time .
Junior Kindergarten
Waterproof boots , running shoes with velcro straps , fleece , poncho , reusable water bottle ( no electronic water bottles connected to an app ), sun hat , an extra set of underwear , school shorts and socks contained in a resealable plastic bag . Please label all items clearly .
Senior Kindergarten
Waterproof boots , running shoes with velcro straps , CHS track pants , CHS hoodie , poncho , reusable water bottle less than 7.5 ” tall ( no electronic water bottles connected to an app ), sun hat , an extra set of underwear , school shorts and socks contained in a resealable plastic bag . Please label all items clearly .
All of these items must comfortably fit in a 17 cm x 15 cm resealable plastic bag and be given to the School in the first week of class . Please be sure your daughter ’ s name is clearly marked on the bag . These comfort kits will be returned to you at the end of each school year to be updated and replenished .
