Health & Safety Standards // Lamplighters Yeshivah Parent Handbook
fully designed to make certain that your children will
be well cared for in an emergency. All of our teachers
are certified in First Aid and Adult, Child and Infant
CPR. We have emergency supplies on hand, including
first aid, water and food supplies.
Emergency Contacts
In the event of an emergency during school hours, we
will attempt to contact you or those listed as your emer-
gency contacts at the telephone numbers you have pro-
vided on the Identification and Emergency Form. It is
very important that you keep this information up-to-
date and notify the Education Director immediately of
any changes. We will also initiate these contacts if you
are more than 15 minutes late to pick up your child and
you have not contacted us to advise us of your change
in schedule.
In the Event of an Emergency
If the school must be closed for any reason in the event
of an emergency, we will send notifications via our
Facebook parent site, text blasts and emails.
SECURITY
With the global security situation as it is, there is cred-
ible cause to secure our schools. Currently, Lamplight-
ers facilities are outfitted with a buzzer system and sur-
veillance cameras around the whole perimeter, along
with a motion-detecting alarm system. And this year,
we’ve upped the ante! We are working with Global Op-
erations, a nationally recognize security company, to
secure our physical plant with an on-site security guard
and conduct emergency drills throughout the school
year. Thank you, parents, for helping us absorb the cost
of this new development and committing to the new se-
curity fee.
