It was probably a good thing I had decided to leave because as I found out from the Mrs . Montressor on Sunday … seconds after I had left , the core members of Houston Heat charged across the field towards the Montressor family and they were out for blood . It seems that someone … and I honestly have no idea who , nor do I really want to know , had messaged them telling them that “ a strange man ” was harassing Mrs . Montressor and there was no way anyone was messing with her on their watch ! To all the fine players on Houston Heat , this just makes me like you all that much more . I must be honest , if rolls were reversed , I would have been charging right alongside you all . But … I had already left when they got there , Mrs . Montressor explained who I was and that I was a guest of hers and everyone had a great laugh over it for the next couple days . I smile as I write this because I was part of “ World Cup Drama .” Awesome .
Sunday was game day and I finally got to play World Cup . Yes , I was playing 3-man novice but who really cares ? I have been playing paintball since 1989 and here I am , 50 years old and I am suiting up to play for my first World Cup ! Truthfully … it was not like anything I expected … it was so much better . . The best part of Sunday though was handing a complete stranger my Shocker and then having it break afterwards . You see , we were on deck and the team in front of us had been having hot gun issues all day . You could tell by the body language that it was not intentional . www . paintball . media
