HAZWOPER Awareness 8 hours This course is for anyone who is expected to identify emergency situations involving chemicals at the First Responder, Awareness (FRA) level. Students are trained to recognize, report and assist in emergency response but do not actually come into contact with hazardous materials. This course fulfills the requirements under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and CCR Title 8 Section 5192 Q6A. Their approach is offensive rather than defensive in nature. These employees are equipped to respond aggressively and approach the point of release to plug, patch or otherwise stop the release of the hazardous materials. They are trained to handle or clean up the hazardous material. This course fulfills the requirements under CCR Title 8 Section 5192 Q6D. Contact hours: 40 | Dates: Aug 29-Sep 2 or Nov 14-18 | Investment: $395 Member / $475 Non-member Lockout / Tagout This course introduces the participant to Cal/OSHA’s Lockout/Tagout Standards and Program. The course is designed for persons from all California industries and governmental agencies. Details are presented on key sections of Title 8 California Code of Regulations (T8 CCR). Discussions include how to implement and maintain a lockout/tagout program in the workplace. Participants are encouraged to bring questions from their own businesses for discussions and answers.
