OSHA 30-hour Construction
The Cal/OSHA Outreach Construction Course provides training for workers and employers on the recognition,
avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides
information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. This is a voluntary
program and does not meet training requirements for any Cal/OSHA standards. However, some employers,
unions, and various other jurisdictions also require workers to have this training to work on job sites and to fulfill
their own safety training goals. The Cal/OSHA 30-hour Outreach Construction Course is intended to provide a
variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Students who participate in the Cal/OSHA Outreach
Construction Course will receive an OSHA student outreach card affixed with a Cal/OSHA partnership sticker and
a certificate of completion from the Pacific Safety Center.
