NFPA 70E Refresher This course satisfies refresher training requirements as outlined in NFPA 70E. Get current with the latest practices and regulations on such topics as arc flash risk assessment, electrical hazards & protection strategies, lockout/tagout, PPE, and more. Topics include: Introduction to OSHA, PPE, Trench and Shore, Electrical, Cranes and Rigging, Confined Space Entry, Excavations, Fall Protection, Scaffolds, Stairs and Ladders. Each participant must pass a written exam with 70% or higher to receive a card of completion from OSHA. Topics include: Introduction to OSHA, Personal Protective Equipment, Electrical, Hazard Communication, Walking and Working Surfaces, Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection. Additional topics to be covered based on students’ job relevance. Each participant must pass a written exam with 70% or higher to receive a card of completion from OSHA. Contact hours: 10 | Dates: Aug 8-9 | Investment: $175 Member / $225 Non-member OSHA 30-hour Construction The Cal/OSHA Outreach Construction Course provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. This is a voluntary program and does not meet training requirements for any Cal/OSHA standards. However, some employers, unions, and various other jurisdictions also require workers to have this training to work on job sites and to fulfill their own safety training goals. The Cal/OSHA 30-hour Outreach Construction Course is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Students who participate in the Cal/OSHA Outreach Construction Course will receive an OSHA student outreach card affixed with a Cal/OSHA partnership sticker and a certificate of completion from the Pacific Safety Center.
