"I could not believe it. It was finally time to go. My sister asked me if I was ready, and if I had all that I was taking. I double-checked and confirmed it. She asked her roommates the same. We headed out of her dorm, and started downstairs towards the parking lot, where a long trip awaited us. It would be my first-ever concert, and my favorite band, no less. The Used, the band that had brought me up from countless times of feeling the worst, I would come to meet them face to face. Needless to say, I was hyped out of my mind. So, we were on the road. From Waterloo, all the way for three hours of driving, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I was prepared for it though, plus the three hour trip back.
This week: A boy, his sister, and her roommate's go to Milwaukee to see the Used, Taking Back Sunday, and other bands
For three hours, through slug-bugs, horrible jokes, punk music blasting, laughing at terrible elderly drivers, and many other miscellaneous activities, we arrived at Milwaukee. Big place, but luckily the venue we would be going to see was about 10 minutes in after we got there, plus the hotel was on the same road. After some fast food dinner, we headed to the hotel to check in.
The hotel, was actually an inn while the business hotel was across the street, and we had to go in to get the keys to our room. That itself took like ten to twenty minutes. And while my sister’s roommate’s boyfriend went in to get the keys, a stranger starting talking with us while we were outside. Long story short, I ended up giving her some Tylenol for a headache she had. When Andrew came back, we drove across the street, again, to park the park by the inn, then headed in line to the venue.
