The Bird Feeder Beth-Class 99 Grandma liked to watch birds, so she often gave them seeds. But sometimes the birds couldn’t get the seeds. “Look at those squirrels!” Grandma said. “They are eating all the seeds.” “We need to make a bird feeder,” said Matt. Rose and Matt made a box and put it on a post. “Now the squirrels won’t be able to get the seeds,” said Rose. However, unluckily, the squirrels jumped from a tree to the bird feeder. “I’ll fix the post with the bird feeder in the ground far away from the tree. Then the birds can use it, but the squirrels can’t,” Rose said. The birds looked happy. But Grandma looked a little sad. “I think Grandma misses the squirrels,” Matt said. “Yes. They are also fun to watch,” said Rose. They made another feeder for the squirrels near the tree. Then the birds and the squirrels all had seeds to eat. And everyone loved to watch them until… “Oh no!” Grandma cried. “Look at that bear!” The Helpful Elephant Kira-Class 102 There is a cute baby monkey that lives in a big forest. Its name is Paul.
