Leave A Trace
Good deeds are instilled in human beings and they always try
to keep and maintain this character. Volunteering is one exam-
ple way to do so, which reflect to what extent our societies are
united, cooperated and thrived. Accordingly, the OSSV has
established "leave a trace" team for volunteering purposes.
"leave a trace" is a volunteering team consisting of a number of
Omani students in Victoria which aims to spread welfare and
training Omani students to be more cooperated, generous and
adapted to the new Australian environment. There are many
activities that have been done with cooperation with other
Omani and Australian charity corporation, here are some:
Mercy team of charity:
A number of Omani students have participated in volunteering
project in cooperation with mercy team of charity. They helped
in providing data of families who will take the advantages of
this project and organize these data in an electronic database
system. They also participated in a survey to check whether the
applicants for this assistance are surely in need.
Halal Food Bank – Ansaar Project:
It is a non-profit voluntary institution that aims to help poor
families in Australia. Leave a trace team has participated in
packaging and delivering food for needy families and charities.
They also took a part in feeding the homeless in Melbourne
city which in turn has enhanced the relationship between the
team and Halal Food Bank.
Being able to give a hand for those who need it is what is called
a charity. If everyone takes a part in helping each other, this will
surely end up with pleased societies. So remember to draw a
smile, wipe out a tear and leave a trace.
