OU Memories :
What are the best moments that you can recall at OUCE ? One of the best moments was entering the imposing college . It was a dream come true since I always wanted to be an engineer though my Dad wanted me to be a lawyer . It was a great feeling when I graduated in 1975 .
What are the most valuable “ lessons for life ” that OUCE taught you ? OUCE has taught each and every one many lessons that made them today reach dizzy heights in their respective careers . And one such thing for me is that , it has given me a wonderful platform from where my dream of becoming an Entrepreneur became true . Studying Engineering in Osmania was like a feather in my cap which gave me confidence to start a small scale industry instead of taking up a regular job .
Can you recall any funny moments that you can share with us at OUCE ? There were many funny incidents and we still cherish those memories when we all end up meeting at places . We had all the fun since we had a group of 20 plus close friends from school days studying together and being a " Jai Telangana Batch ". Most of the time no one dared to rag any one of us .
If you had a chance to go back to college again now , what is it that you would like to see again in the college ? I would like to see all my friends , classmates and would definitely love to hangout with them in the college like we used to do and relive those memories forever . I would also like to see my Professors who taught us great lessons for life and it is because of them , who we are today .
How do you think OUCE has emerged as an institution in 21st century ? Osmania University has adapted well to changing times , it has introduced new subjects like IT & Computer engineering along with basic engineering sciences . It is encouraging many students to take up courses related to their level of interests . It is heartening to see that more and more girl students have also chosen OUCE for studying engineering sciences .
Professor who created everlasting impression Professors Sri . K . N Rao , Sri . Subba Rao and Sri . Shamraj have been the most impactful . I am very grateful to all the professors who moulded me and made me the person that I am today .
Favorite hangout spot in OUCE I feel very nostalgic about every bit and corner of OUCE but Daya Canteen is the place where all of us used to hang out the most .
Your best buddies in the college days Well , I had a small group of friends , sharing similar views . We are still in touch and never miss to cherish our college memories whenever we get together . My best buddies are Late . Iqbal Hussain , Suresh Naguri and Shahid Muneer .
Your favorite subject in 4 years Thermodynamics has been my all time favourite subject .
Career Aspects :
Can you explain us your career progression after you stepped out of OUCE ? Immediately after graduation , I worked in Khandsari Sugar Mill for 6-months . Then I decided to set up a small packing unit called M / S . Uneek Cartons under the " Self Employment Technocrat Scheme " in 1976 . In 1978-79 , a friend of mine and I took over a company manufacturing Metallic Tubes and Ducts which is now known as M / S . Helical Tubes and Ducts Pvt . Ltd . Later , we also took over a Leasing and Financing company .
I have always had the endeavour towards export business as India requires more
