‘CUTS’ & SELECTED STAMPS .................................. $500-700
Accumulation of more than 1,500 covers in 24 assorted cover
albums plus 3 stockbooks filled with thousands of a few
selected issues and 4"x2" cuts from envelopes. COVERS mostly
for years 1920s-30s (majority with 1933 cds) and well
represented by Chicago & other Illinois cds, franked mainly
with singles of either Washington 2¢ 4th Bureaus, Washington
3¢ #720, NRA 3¢ #726, or 3¢ stamped envelopes (type U93),
and include many commercial covers with a variety of corner
cards and several with illustrated advertisements. STOCK
BOOKS include USED 1¢ & 2¢ Washington-Franklins & 2¢
Washington 4th Bureaus including some coils, pairs, perfins,
selected Postage Dues including blocks, 2¢-3¢ stamped
envelope cut squares, and many ‘cuts’ showing complete cds
& franked mostly with 1¢ thru 3¢ 4th Bureaus, Washington
3¢ #720, NRA 3¢ #732 & 3¢ stamped envelopes. Stock books
also include meter ‘cuts’, selected Christmas seals & other
charity labels and other items. Expect duplication. Stamps &
‘cuts’ overall fine & better, covers range from damaged/roughly
opened to fine to very fine.

1913-20 WASHINGTON FRANKLIN COVERS W/
SCHERMACK PRIVATE COILS .................................. $150-250
Group of more than 30 covers franked with 1¢ and 2¢
Washington-Franklin imperforate stamps with Schermack
perfs. Vast majority are Scott #344, #408, #409 and #482.
Some are dated, many addressed to Canada. Mixed condition,
but valuable lot showing commercial uses of these stamps.
Catalog well over $750. Mixed condition, fine overall.

1921-39 SMALL ACCUMULATION OF BETTER
COVERS ...................................................................... $500-700
Mixed lot of about 150 covers with Commemoratives & Fourth
Bureau issue used to pay postage. Some 21 FDCs between
Scott #629 to 686, most commercial mail with some registered
& airmail, plus some with contents. Noticed a YMCA cover
from ‘Selected Motion Pictures’ with list of 16mm (silent)
movies they rent with # of reels. Interesting group of moderate
value material.

1920s-80s BULKY COVER ACCUMULATION,
MOSTLY FDCS ............................................................ $300-400
Large accumulation of between 1,500-2,000 covers, postal
cards and FDCs in several boxes. Vast majority of covers
consists of FDCs. There are a few unusual cachets, promotionals (mostly Ayerst Laboratories of the ’60s) and a number
of Postal Commemorative Society ‘collections’ in binders. The
largest of these, the ‘Historic Stamps of America Collection’
(in HUGE binder), cost original owner $700! Some commercial
covers here and there as well, concentration of covers is from
the ’60s and ’70s. Much sorting and some useful. Fine.
1880s-1970s COMMERCIAL, FIRST DAY EVENT
COVERS & MORE ....................................................... $400-600
Roughly estimated at 2,500 covers, mostly USA FDCs, although
some early commercial mail, plus a shoe box of UN FDCs and
even a bit of foreign. FDCs includes a few earlier (saw some
Army-Navy issues), mostly later, with a variety of cachets; some
colorful foreign FDCs and commercial mail; of some interest
is the postal hi story, including some Chicago & Clark Street
RPO cancels, a few corner cards including a Continental Fire
Insurance NY with Minuteman, early machine cancels, some
Banknote covers with Archer FL postmarks, spotted a
Winchester multicolored advertising cover (edge stains), and
more. Lot also includes a cigar box with 11 old glass slides
including some with stamps. Some faults, overall fine to very
fine. Useful accumulation, worth a look.

1930-80s LARGE COVER ACCUMULATION ............. $400-600
Roughly estimated at 3,500-4,000 covers in 4 storage boxes.
Two boxes, about half are modern ArtCraft FDCs from
1960s-80s, uncacheted and unaddressed. Plus one box of
United Nations FDCs and stationery. Last box is Commercial
mail, with a wide variety of frankings and postmarks. Generally
very fine.
1880s-1980s LARGE MINT & USED POSTAL
STATIONERY ACCUMULATION ................................. $300-400
CONFEDERATE COVERS
Large 3-banker box accumulation, ranging from large quantities
of many different mint and used stamped envelopes to bundles
of mint postal cards. While we didn’t note any particular
highlights, there is a small cut square collection with some
better officials and the face value of mint envelopes and postal
cards is several hundred dollars. There may be some specialist
material in the large quantities of used (mostly from the 1960s
and ’70s). Fine.

1900s-90s POSTAL STATIONERY & FDCS + OTHER
FOREIGN COVERS ..................................................... $300-400
Selection of mostly unused USA postal stationery including
Postal Cards denominated 4¢-36¢ with unopened Legends of
the West and stamped envelopes 2.7¢-52¢ including Officials.
ALSO: group of USA addressed FDCs 1950s-60s with a few
earlier; small selection of early 20th century used Picture
Postcards; selected United Nations stamps & postal stationery;
a few foreign covers. A few highlights include: 1933 FDR 1st
Inauguration cacheted cover (cv $60), 1935 Admiral Byrd
Antarctic Expedition II cacheted cover franked with S/S #735,
tied by LITTLE AMERICA, ANTARCTICA cds & official
penguin cachet on back, 3 different 1939 cacheted & addressed
NY World’s Fair FDCs, 1946 First Flight To Berlin cacheted
covers (x7, $35 each) all with U.S. Civil Censor handstamps
& 2 with additional ‘MIL. CEN. - CIVIL MAILS’ tape, 1948
Germany First Flight Frankfurt-NY (est $50), selected
Germany issues on 5 cards all with 1953 Bayreuth Music
Festival pictorial cancels, 1988 USA Golden Eagle Pass, STS-8
cover with folder, USPS 1994 ‘A Tribute To Space Achievement’
official signed limited edition (#1714/10000) in folio and other
items. Overall fine to very fine.

Big stamp, huge margins all around, lower right corner creased
prior to use, extremely fine appearance, tied with Charleston,
SC cds, cover with light soiling, missing part of backflap,
