Waleed Jabsheh began his career at
Manulife Reinsurance in Toronto,
Canada and later joined LDG
Reinsurance Corporation, a subsidiary
of Houston Casualty Co., in 1998 where
he served as Senior Underwriter
managing a USD 30 million book
of treaty and facultative business.
Waleed joined International General
Insurance Co. Ltd. at the time of its
foundation in 2002. As President of
the company, he has played a pivotal
role in the growth and development of
IGI now writing approximately USD
250 million in Gross Written Premium
worldwide across 11 classes of business
within a network of 5 offices.

Hugh has over 25 years loss adjusting
experience having worked in London,
Thailand, Oman and the UAE. He is a
Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the
Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
Hugh now has Global responsibility
for Non Marine at Matthews Daniel.
Hugh is an experienced machinery
breakdown, property and business
interruption adjuster in the power and
energy sectors. He has dealt claims
worldwide including Greece, Turkey,
Russia, North Africa and the Middle East.
Additionally, he has handled many claims
on construction and operational projects.
Hugh works in many countries including:
Middle East, North Africa in addition

to Russia, Turkey, Greece, Malta and
Cyprus as well as the Caspian. He also
has current experience of working with
the State Electricity and National Oil
companies of Mexico, Algeria, Nigeria
and several IWPP’s throughout the
Middle East and Turkey. He led the
adjustment team on the Vasilikos Power
Station explosion in Cyprus. This large
claim was agreed and subrogated in 14
months. He also led the adjusting team
on the Rosneft Achinsk refinery loss in
Central Siberia which was closed in 17
months and a large petrochemical loss at
Lukoil which was settled in 14 months.
