In September 2013 Daniel relocated
to establish and manage MDD’s
Middle East Office in the Dubai
International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Daniel graduated from The
Nottingham Business School at
Nottingham Trent University, holding a
BA (Hons) Degree in Business Studies.
He previously worked for H.J Heinz
Ltd. in the financial planning team.
He gained over 5 years experience
working for MDD’s London office
working on losses mainly in the food
manufacturing and retail industries.
More recently Daniel was heavily
involved in catastrophe work, having
spent time in Japan following the
Great Tohoku Earthquake and in
Thailand following the severe flooding.
Daniel has dealt with numerous
Business Interruption and Contingent
Business Interruption claims in the
automotive and supporting industries;
manufacturing companies of various
types; retailers and wholesalers.
In early 2012, he joined the Hong Kong
office to assist with the development
of MDD’s Asia Pacific operation
working on Petrochemical, Power
Generation and Manufacturing
Business Interruption and Contingent
Business Interruption claims
before moving to undertake his
new role in the Middle East.

Michael joined Marsh and has been
specialising in energy insurance claims
since September 2010. Having spent three
years in London, he relocated to our
offices in Dubai (2013) to join the regional
Energy Claims Hub, where he provides
claims support to Marsh clients located in
the Middle East & North Africa region.
He has built good working relationships
with the energy insurance market,
both in London and the Middle East.
He has handled catastrophe losses in
excess of USD 200 million for clients
and successfully managed the London
insurance market following these events.
Previous experience includes
handling various upstream and

downstream losses, predominantly in
South America, South East Asia and
more recently the Middle East.
