Before being elected Deputy CEO of Trust Re in April 2011, Romel built up several years of significant experience through handling a variety of challenging underwriting positions, marketing, managing portfolios and general management. Over the years spent working in insurance and reinsurance, Romel travelled extensively and built up a vast network of industry relevant connections. Developing and maintaining business relationships with a wide range of insurance companies and reinsurance brokers is one of the areas in which Romel excels.
His expertise also encompasses budgeting, identifying opportunities for growth and business / product development, to name but a few. Moreover, Romel is in regular attendance and an active participant at major industry conferences and forums. Romel holds a B. Sc. in Banking and Finance from the Lebanese American University in Beirut.

Alfred is a Partner in the insurance and dispute resolution teams at Clyde & Co in the UAE. Alfred joined Clyde & Co in Abu Dhabi in June 2006 and since then has acquired an in-depth knowledge of UAE and regional re / insurance law. Alfred has a broad regional practice advising local and foreign insurance interests on coverage, claims, subrogated recoveries and liability issues. The primary focus of Alfred’ s practice is on re / insurance litigation and arbitration relating to energy, engineering and construction insurance disputes.
