BURGGASSE 3
The double spiral staircase in Graz is also
called the twin staircase , it was built in
1499 - 1500 during the reign of the
German king and later the emperor
Maximilian the First by an unknown
master and she is the castle of Graz in the
stair tower and is one of the main
examples of building art .
This creation of the Late Gothic period
was built very carefully and with a great
love of detail , which can be seen thanks to
the patterns and precision of the details .
In 1506 , 2 gravestones were placed in the
facade of the staircase , which in itself
should have meant a close connection at
the turn of the Middle Ages and the
Renaissance .
Who actually built the ladder and is not
known , but suppose that there could be
Peter Parler , and directly over the
production of parts worked a whole series
of masons , which is witnessed by special
signs on the stones .
