apply makeup on top of it. I was being told “it doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside, just how you are on the inside”.

Why on earth would I consider becoming an Esthetician after going through all of that? I didn’t even know how to pronounce the word when I first read it! The honest reason I became an Esthetician was because I wanted to go to massage therapy school and couldn’t afford it. I found out the local beauty school taught Estheticians basic massage along with skin care. So I took a chance on the school and everyday realized it was the right choice for me. I could begin making a difference in the lives of women like me. Because now I can share my story with others and help them begin to make the connection between their inner and outer beauty no matter what age.

The throat chakra is the communication center. Not just communicating and connecting between us but also within us. The corresponding gland with the throat chakra is the thyroid. It is the shape of a butterfly in the throat area. The functions of the thyroid are numerous, including skin health. I was surprised I was diagnosed in my 30’s with an underactive thyroid problem. But now putting it altogether, there shouldn’t be any surprise at all. Especially, if you are like me and believe the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Over those years I wore myself down with horrible self-talk, communicating internally in negative ways so much so that my body said enough. I am shutting you down until you start talking to me nicely! Put on thyroid meds, I knew I couldn’t rely on them alone. I had to make changes. How I talked to myself. How I talked in front of others about me. How I talked to others about the world around me.

Through the fifth throat chakra, you have the power to have those conversations with yourself to connect your inside beauty with your outside beauty. And, you need to have those conversations with others.

Let’s lift each other up with our words.

When someone says “it doesn’t matter

what you look like on the outside, just

how you are on the inside”, it excuses

a connection between the two.

The key is to try our best to find balance

between the two. This is truly the

lesson I have learned and have the

privilege of sharing and giving as an

Esthetician.

We need to lift one another up with

power words and vocal affirmations!

Rock your throat chakra and begin to

express yourself with internal balance

and external glow!
