Missionary in South Korea
One Mission Society
South Korea is an exciting place
to be involved in God’s work.
Across denominations and
organizations, more than
25,000 Korean missionaries
serve cross-culturally all
over the world today. The
One Mission Societyrelated Korea Evangelical
Holiness Church (KEHC),
which OMS started in 1907,
currently has about 560 missionaries serving in 60 countries.
How did all this mission work begin?
The first KEHC church outside of Korea was
planted in 1925 in Manchuria (Northeast
China). Between 1925 and Korea’s liberation
from Japan in 1945, several more churches
were planted in both China and Japan. Then,
in the 1960s, Koreans started emigrating to
places like Brazil, the United States, and
Canada, where KEHC churches were planted,
mainly serving Koreans
living there.
However, the fullfledged overseas
cross-cultural
missionary work
