Week 6: Nausea Help
I'm sure you've heard of the very popular thing called morning sickness, Daddy. Well it doesn't necessarily only occur in the morning it is a 24/7 experience that can send her running to the toilet morning, noon, and night. Daddy, the symptoms start at about week 9 and may go into the second trimester. Certain smells and/or scents may send her racing to the bathroom, Daddy. Try to help her out by seeing that she sticks to the foods she craves. Preferably ones that are not spicy or acidic. Also, helping her eat often and eat well. She can start early or as soon as she wakes up, in the middle of the night when she wakes to pee, or right before bed. So, Daddy, keep her nightstand stocked with trail mix, crackers and cold cereal to munch on. Oh, ginger and lemons help as well.
Week 7: Her Pregnancy Food Aversions
Crackers are her life right now or, at least, the mainstay of her rapidly dwindling diet. These babies help calm the nausea as well that we discussed in week 6. Encourage her to eat them and chase 'em with a glass of ginger ale. Yummy. Mommy is turned off by certain foods she used to love before the pregnancy, Just go with it, Daddy. Indulge her cravings.
Week 8: Breast Enlargement During Pregnancy
By now you've noticed her breasts are getting bigger, Daddy. While you may be tempted during sex to suckle and man handle them, think twice! Mom-to-be's breasts are extra sensitive and sore as they are getting ready to feed your baby when he or she arrives. so be extra careful and take guidance from your partner. Week 9: Pregnancy Mood Swings
Don't fight her mood swings, Daddy, it's the hormones talking. These hormones are throwing her mind and body all out of wack. Here's what you have to look forward to: she'll be weepy, over-the-top excited, disproportionately pissed, deliriously happy, and stressed out ... and that's all before lunch. Just keep calm, Daddy, & be patient.
