FIRST TRIMESTER
Weeks 1 and 2: Preconception For Men
Okay, Daddy, you've made the commitment to bring a new life into this big beautiful world, and now comes the fun part — knocking her up. Your partner is now perhaps taking prenatal pills or folic acid to prepare her body for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. Now, Daddy, you must do the same. Many men do not realize that vitamins can help lead to healthier, more robust sperm, which in turn will aid in a quicker pregnancy and like with mommy, a healthier baby. So, Daddy, take your vitamins - B12, E, C, Zinc & Selenium!
Week 3: Wine During Pregnancy
Daddy, your partner is going to have to play it safe when it comes to the liquor. Nobody knows what the safe limit is so its best to just stay away.
Week 4: Preparing to Be a Parent
Daddy, I know at this point you're anxious and counting the days until she can put that home pregnancy test to some use, right? The excitement can be nerve wrecking. But your partner has to wait until the day her period is expected to get the most accurate test result.
Week 5: Breaking the News
How you feelin', Daddy? Excited? Anxious? Is your stomach turning? I know I know , but here's why you may want to take your time spreading the news. Once EVERYONE knows, you, Daddy, may get lost in the crowd. Take as long as you and your partner are comfy with. How about first going on a romantic dinner date for two at your favorite restaurant. Just taking a moment with only you and your partner sharing your joyous news - YOU'RE GONNA BE A DADDY.
