The new Officeworks Windsor (Qld), officially opened in their new location on Thursday 20 September 2018. Samuel Utihol (Store Business Manager) conducted the opening ceremony, with Wardy hosting the proceedings. During the opening ceremony, Melissa presented a $2000 cheque to both the Ipswich Hospital Foundation and Ipswich Community Youth Service. As it turns out, both parties have previously worked closely together to help make a difference in the Ipswich community, which aligns closely with Officeworks own values. Sam and the team selected Wilston Grange Kindergarten and Sporting Wheelies Disabled Association as their two causes to receive $2000 each. Sam and Wardy welcomed the two community groups representatives and presented them with their donations. Justin Lockery (Coordinator) praised his team’s efforts in preparation for the event. “The team devoted a lot of extra hours in helping run stock and making sure the store was well presented for the opening ceremony.” He also praised surrounding Officeworks stores who helped support the day, specifically Officeworks Woolloongabba, Oxley and Browns Plains. Sam had plenty of praise for his team. “They were organised and willing to work overtime to ensure all planograms, stock and areas of the store looked well presented for opening. The team worked tirelessly in preparation for opening and went above and beyond their duties to achieve a really great result. I am extremely proud of them.” Speaking of his team, Justin said “they were amazing with the preparation that took place, as well as the efforts on the day. They really went above and beyond their duties to help out. It was a fantastic effort.” Sam also gave a shout out to surrounding stores who provided great support in the lead up to opening day.
