Business Improvement
and Credit teams
The Business Improvement
and Credit teams undertook a
substantial review of the processes
and procedures associated with
Officeworks’ 30 Day Business
Accounts, from assessing
applications, account payments,
collections, billing and customer
service. The work resulted in the
team eliminating obsolete
processes and automate
almost all remaining processes
associated with Officeworks’ 30 Day
Business Accounts.
These changes will result in an
annualised saving of approximately
$1 million reduction in CODB and
will assist the team in supporting the
growth of 30 Day Business Account
customer base.

Voice launch team
“Ok Google, talk to Officeworks”
In November 2017, Officeworks
became the first big-box retailer to
integrate with the Google Assistant.
The Google Assistant allows
customers to add products to their
‘shopping list’, and in a few simple
steps, order on the Officeworks
website.
More than 5000 customers have
interacted with Officeworks using
voice with little promotion in
10
the first six months, collectively
using the voice app 7733 times
and completing well over 15,000
conversations.
This all couldn’t have been
achieved without collaboration
between team members from
Customer Experience, eCommerce,
IT, Business, Marketing and
Merchandise.
