Tamworth team strums up best in country In this edition of Pinpoint we meet the winning team of the National Retail Store of the Year award, Officeworks Tamworth (NSW). With a positive and proactive safety culture, reflected in their green/ green audit results, Store Business Manager Trudy Gallaher and the Officeworks Tamworth team have had a fantastic year. Their commitment to Great Service cannot be questioned. With a year to date Mystery Shop result of 81% and a Great Service Score of 9.21, they are truly leading the way in Great Service. Also contributing to a great experience in store for their customers and team is the great culture that Trudy and the Tamworth team have developed, evident in their Climate Survey engagement score result of 88%. What advice would you give other stores? An engaged and empowered team is the key. If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why? Cleopatra in an era when the world was ruled by men. She ruled with greatness and inspired women. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Myer. My favourite part of my job is: Helping others, whether it be through finding them the perfect solution for what they need or providing them with a neat, clean and full store to shop every day. What does a typical day look like in your role? Customer service, coaching and developing the team. Inspiring the team to help make bigger things happen both for our customers and the store. What’s been a stand-out project, process or change that you’re proud to have been part of? Opening the Tamworth store. It was challenging, yet so rewarding. Setting up the Tamworth store and being involved from day one has been an amazing experience. 4 My favourite Officeworks product is: Apple TV. What does a typical day look like in your role? I work with Trudy on the goals for the day, plan out the night fill to ensure we give ourselves the opportunity to complete all tasks and get the store ready for a fresh start in the morning while ensuring I play my part in providing service. What’s been a stand-out project, process or change that you’re proud to have been part of? Being a part of setting up the Tamworth store and being involved from day one has been an amazing experience. I’ve enjoyed learning everything Officeworks, developing my own skills and working on developing the team’s skills. Growing with the store
