Two new
additions to
Officeworks network
Welcome to the following new stores and Team Members since our last edition of Pinpoint.
Congratulations to both teams and the various Support Office functions that help make a new store a reality on
their hard work over the past few months to deliver great service anywhere, anyhow, anytime.
Officeworks North Lakes (Qld) – opened June 2017 Officeworks Exhibition Street (Vic) – opened July 2017
Officeworks North Lakes (Qld) was opened on 30 June
2017. The official opening was attended by Deputy
Mayor Mike Charlton, and North Lakes chosen local
charities Bounty Boulevard State School and Chameleon
Youth Housing. The team had eager customers lining up
from 6:45am on their first day of business. Store Business
Manager Matt Beck said, “Opening was a fantastic
experience! Our team, both new and experienced, all
pushed themselves outside their comfort zone to get
the store to an amazing standard for our customers. Our
customers are really enjoying the experience in store
and love the extensive range we carry over that of our
competitors in the area. On 14 July 2017 Officeworks Exhibition Street (Vic) was
officially opened by Wardy. The opening was attended
by the store’s chosen community groups, Fitted for Work
and Salvation Army Project 614, who each received a
$2000 donation.
Two months in, the team are definitely feeling more at
home and are really excited to get into Back to School
when we really expect this store to explode with trade
with the high volume of schools in our area.”
Exhibition Street is the fourth store to open in Melbourne
CBD, bringing our nationwide total to 165 stores!
Store Business Manager Rachael McGraw said,
“Officeworks Exhibition Street has been enthusiastically
received by local customers and businesses. We’ve hit
the ground running with a highly motivated new store
team and we are looking forward to helping all of our
new customers make bigger things happen!”
Fun fact: Fun fact:
Originally part of Mango Hill,
North Lakes was listed as a
separate suburb in February 2006.
The origin of the suburb name
is from the name given to the
estate development. Melbourne’s famous tramway
system is the largest outside
Europe and the fourth largest in
the world. It stretches along
244 kilometres (152 miles) of track
and has 450 trams.
