Based on barely believable true events, this fast, funny and (at times) shocking war comedy drama tells the story of David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, two young American men who win a $300 million contract from the Pentagon to arm America’s allies in Afghanistan as part of the War on Terror. Only things don’t go according to plan – at all! – and it’s not long before the hapless pair are in big trouble both home and abroad. War dogs is the nickname given to people who make money out of war without ever setting foot on the battlefield. It’s meant to be belittling, but as the guys admit, they “kinda like it”. So how were two barely-out-of-theirteens stoners able to become big-money arms dealers? Trust us, you won’t believe it even when you see it! With a gripping story at its heart and an all-star cast that includes Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Efraim, Miles Teller (Whiplash) as David and Ana de Armas (Knock Knock) as Iz, this is a hugely entertaining biographical drama.
