She’s having the worst
day of her life... again! A woman seeks vengeance
on her family’s killers A poignant drama from
the director of Moonlight
DIRECTOR Christopher Landon
starring Jessica Rothe, Israel
Broussard, Ruby Modine DIRECTOR REED MORANO
starring Blake Lively, Jude Law,
Sterling K. Brown , Geoff Bell DIRECTOR Barry Jenkins
starring KiKi Layne, Stephan James,
Regina King, Teyonah Parris
Produced by horror
god Blumhouse,
2017’s Happy Death
Day was a gory treat, aided
by a ballsy turn from Jessica
Rothe as ‘Tree’ Gelbman, an
obnoxious college student who
is forced to relive her birthday
murder again and again. Tree
is back this Valentine’s Day
for a bloody adventure that
sees her re-entering the time
loop to find out how she ended
up there in the first place.
Fiendishly inventive, this is
a sequel worth celebrating. Helmed by Reed
Morano – director of
2015’s exceptional
Meadowland, one of the very
few films to have a 100 per
cent fresh rating on Rotten
Tomatoes – The Rhythm Section
is a masterly affair, with
fabulous turns from Blake
Lively and Jude Law. Scripted
by Mark Burnell, from his own
novel, it sees Lively’s Stephanie
hunting down the perpetrators
of a plane crash that killed her
family. You’ll be on the edge of
your seat from start to finish. Barry Jenkins follows
up Moonlight (the
2017 Oscar ® winner
for Best Film) with another
remarkable drama, this time
telling the moving story of
Clementine ‘Tish’ Rivers
(newcomer KiKi Layne), an
African-American woman who
fights to clear her artist fiancé’s
name after he is wrongly
accused of a crime. Featuring
incredible performances from
the entire cast, If Beale Street
Could Talk will grab your
heart and refuse to let go.
