Halloween Disco !
As leaves turn orange and the wind gets colder , it makes everyone aware autumn has definitely arrived which only means one thing , Halloween ! The S1 and S6 Halloween Disco at Marr College was a spooktacular success , with around 100 students and staff joining the fun . The event was organised by the S6 leadership team , who decorated the hall with , cobwebs , skeletons and bats . Our wonder DJ Mrs McCartan played a mix of Halloween-themed songs and chart hits as well as organising fun games and challenges for students . There was also a costume contest with prizes for the best dancers and best dressed .
This event was in aid of the South Ayrshire Food Bank , that provides food and support to local people in crisis . With over 220,000 people in the UK using food banks they need the public ' s help more than ever . Marr College have recognised this and decided to help out by asking S1 & S6 pupils to pay for their Halloween Disco ticket with food products the food bank can take in . Instead of paying £ 2 for a ticket .
