RECRUITMENT Occupational Therapist Cressey College, Croydon Community Occupational Therapist Grade 11 £34,788 Ref: 3127 Permanent 37 Hours Ty Elai, Williamstown, CF40 1NY We have an exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapists to join our teams in Rhondda Cynon Taf. The teams are based in Ty Elai, near Tonypandy, and cover the whole of RCT utilising agile working, We have vacancies in;- • The Reablement Team – in this team you will be working with individuals to support them through a programme of intervention aimed at helping them regain their confi dence and independence and enable them to reach their full potential. • The Adaptations and Community Equipment Team (ACE). – in this team you will be working with individuals to ensure that they are supported at home, via adaptations and the provision of equipment, to be able to meet their personal outcomes and live in their homes as independently and safely as possible. These are permanent positions, but we also have temporary vacancies in each team covering periods of maternity leave. Both teams are part of a new and transformative model of care and support, called Stay Well@home, funded by the Welsh Government Transformation Grant, and which will respond to requests for support from Community Professionals outside of traditional offi ce hours, to enable individuals to stay at home and not have to go to hospital. This will involve Moving and Handling assessments and advice and the provision of equipment. As an Occupational Therapist in these teams you will be required to take part in a rota to cover the service 8:30am – 8pm, 365 days per year. You will be joining an established and experienced team of Senior Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapists. The successful candidates will be expected to be proactive team players who can recognise and draw on the wealth of experience available to them within Short Term Services. We are looking for Occupational Therapists who have the enthusiasm to play an active role in delivering a high quality service to individuals in our community. A sound value base, excellent communication skills and a person-centred approach are essential. You will need to be OT qualifi ed and registered with the HCPC. Regular supervision will be provided by a Senior Occupational Therapist and training and development opportunities will be available during the period of employment. RCT have a commitment to reimburse professional registration fees Salary range is Band 6 or 7 depending on experience. Term time only (39 weeks a year). We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Therapist that is interested in growing and developing their professional skills. The successful candidate will join our expanding multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing appropriate interventions, devising and supervising programmes and delivering training to the staff. The Therapy Team includes professionals from Speech and Language Therapy, Art Psychotherapy and Music Psychotherapy. The post holder will also identify equipment and resources required for the delivery of the OT service within the establishment, which includes three well-equipped OT rooms. The post holder will need to be qualified in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registered, RCOT member and ideally, trained in Sensory Integration with experience in working with Children Young People and Families. Additional training in SCERTS, Intensive Interaction, Emotional Coaching and/or other relevant approaches would be desirable. Proven paediatric experience, experience of working in Special School environment and with children and families that have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties desirable.
