£29,636 - £33,799 pro rata.
Stockport’s Adult Social Care is currently in the process of implementing a
New Operating Model and the Equipment and Adaptation Team will soon
become part of the Prevention, Wellbeing and Independence business group.
Occupational Therapy will be at the forefront of this new service delivery
with a focus on prevention and early intervention through the provision
of equipment and adaptations and effective partnership working, so that
people get the help and assistance they need in a timely manner. We believe
that this is best achieved by working with colleagues in Health, Housing and
the Voluntary Sector, to identify and agree what the difficulties are and then
support people and their carers to choose the services or support that best
meets their needs, goals and outcomes. Your duties will involve the management of a complex caseload providing
assessment and advice around a wide range of assistive equipment,
housing adaptations and complex transfers/moving and handling and
determining eligibility for a blue badge by carrying out Independent
mobility assessments
Stockport is looking for innovative and enthusiastic qualified Occupational
Therapists, who would thrive on the opportunity to drive service
improvements and make most of their potential as part of a high achieving,
well established service with a reputation for excellence. In return we offer use of the latest computer technology, high quality
accommodation, attention to work life balance, flexible working arrangements
and an essential car users allowance.
Assessing adults in line with the Care Act you will support a person’s well-
being by delivering on interventions that prevent, reduce and delay the onset
of care needs, enabling a person to live as independently as possible , for as
long as possible.
To enable you to do this to the best of your ability we will give you a
comprehensive induction, regular supervision from an OT Manager, support
from our Assistant Team Managers and opportunities for CPD activities.
You will also have the benefit of being part of a friendly, supportive and
multidisciplinary team, which are actively involved in the development
and implementation of new initiatives to improve service delivery around
equipment and adaptations.
You must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and be
registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
