Dun dun da-dun , the bell rang . “ Rise and shine , boys !” Admiral Dellacon said . “ Scott , I see you ’ re already dressed for the most intense training of your life . What about Todd ?” “ He isn ’ t awake yet , sir ,” Scott answered dejectedly , knowing what was coming to Todd . “ Mr . Carey , get up this instant !” Admiral Dellacon yelled . “ Alright , alright , don ’ t overreact , Burke ,” Todd snarled . Scott then looked at him like he had seen a ghost . The admiral ’ s name was actually Burke , just like an old classmate of Scott ’ s , but no one called him that .
“ What did you say ?!” the admiral asked in a low angry voice . “ You cannot ever speak to me like that , and it is Admiral Dellacon to you .” His goose is cooked , Scott thought . “ I ’ ll be back in 5 ,” the admiral said . Todd was brought outside . Scott had never seen Todd get in deep trouble ( especially not with anyone in the army ). The day went on with what exactly had been promised , the hardest training he had ever gone through .
As the day went on , Scott was actually persevering through it , to his own surprise .
But Todd was a different story . He couldn ’ t believe he was in this position , as all he wanted was to be a sports player growing up . In fact , he was . Todd played Major League Baseball . He had to take time off to fight , but he was still on the roster for the New York Mets . “ I ’ m done with this . I can ’ t take anymore ,” Todd said as he walked off . “ Where do you think you ’ re going ?” Admiral Dellacon asked angrily . “ To the bunkhouse . Where do you think ?” Todd hissed .
