DAY 2 • Buenos Aires , Argentina An O . A . T . representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel , where you ’ ll join travelers who took the Bariloche ’ s Patagonian Andes & Lakes pre-trip extension .

DAY 6 • Drake Passage The Drake Passage is the most direct route to Antarctica , as well as the most adventurous . If conditions are rough , you may need to stay in your cabin . But if you ’ re lucky enough to encounter the placid “ Drake Lake ,” you could be invited to the lounge for a lecture from your Expedition Team .

DAY 7 • Drake Passage As your adventure on the Drake continues today , your ship may be accompanied by a variety of wildlife , including seabirds , dolphins , and whales . This could also be the day your ship crosses the Antarctic Convergence , where cold polar waters sink beneath warm temperate waters .
