Debra and Colin on Deva and Barry and Sue on Samarah After a quiet morning in Ardglass we set of at about 12:00 for Peel. This was a good sail on a broad reach all the way across. Look at the straight track above. On this occasion we did see some whales. I believe they were Minke whales and a couple came up off my starboard bow. You could mistake them for dolphins but they are larger and appear to be slower moving. When we arrived in Peel our allocated berths were all over the marina and not next to each other so we elected to stay together on the town wall where people were gathering for the Peel traditional boat weekend. We had a really nice stay here and met lots of interesting people. As the weather was nice we had another BBQ in the Bay by the Castle on Fenella Beach. On this occasion we made good use of Howard’s gas BBQ, and my gas. Some of the locals were swimming and inspired Barry to dive in for a refreshing swim.
