4 - Keep at it.

Speaking from experience I know how hard it is to keep motivated when you're not getting the views and feedback you had first imagined when you put up your first post.

Some people get recognised within the first few months to a year, whereas others can take up to 3 years to take off! But you will get there and it will happen just the way you had imagined.

5 - Be an active part of the blogging community.

To get yourself out there the best thing to do is comment on other bloggers blogs, find some blogs you enjoy reading and if some of their posts are interesting just pop a little comment down there, but make sure you keep going back, other people commenting will start to notice your blog through you commenting and they will start to click on yours.

It's all a chain effect, you comment on theirs, they will comment on yours, people will even comment on theirs or find yours through theirs, wow that was a mouthful!

6 - Be consistent.

Try to choose a day to upload your posts on where you know you won't be too busy or be interupted, a good blog post including taking and editing photos should take a minimum of an hour.

Alternativley you could take photos throughout the week or choose a specific day when you have time to really think about the layout and composition of your photos, lighting is a big factor.

If you have a loyal following of subscribers who are expecting you to post at least once a week, you owe it to them to do so!

But if you know you won't be able to put any content up for a while, definitley make a post saying so.

7 - Be yourself.

Lastly and as clichee as it sounds, always stay true to what you set out to do, don't copy other bloggers, by all means take inspiration, but not directly. Show your creativity, that's why people will follow and stay reading your blog!

Just have fun with it, unless you intentionally set out to become 'internet famous' and spend a lot of time and money to get there quickly, recognition will come at it's own pace.
