Hi Darwin, how has your day been?

'Productive, I printed my business cards myself on gloss and cut them out on the guillotine. I made 30 in total after having some difficulties with a previous batch.'

What category of artists would you class yourself in?

'Well for me it changes depending on my mood and sometimes by the time of year, recently I've been trasnsitioning from textile to ceramics which is why I have 3D printed on my business cards.'

What do you plan to do once you've left college, which I see is in a few weeks.

'I recently receieved an offer for a place at Brighton University on a 3D Design & Craft course because I think that is broad enough for me to be diverse. It will also allow me to persue my current interest in ceramics while continuing to live at home.'

What is your favourite material to work with on a project or just for fun?

'After the unit I have just completed (Final Major Project) I've found that I like working with really obscure materials including leather, clay and denim.'

What has been the most difficult aspect of being an artist?

'The last week over half term has been a real stretch for me, working every spare moment and sometimes into the early morning to meet the deadline. So I guess working under pressure is my weakness although I have gotten through it!'
