On Par Stay Home By Marc Kawasoe, Program Director, The Golfing Lab One of the greatest challenges we faced during the Circuit Breaker period, was how to stay active at home. Without being able to get out on the golf course or go to a driving range, it could be tough getting the motivation to practice and improve your game. Here are a few drills that you can do in the comfort of your home. These indoor practice drills will come in handy and it might just be the solution to make those lasting improvements! Have fun with it, stay safe, and keep grinding! Drill 1: Maintaining Connection aka Toilet Roll Drill Swing Flaw: Losing connection on the backswing resulting in a weak impact position and minimal connection through impact. The Fix: Arms Collapsed at the Top of the Backswing Minimal Arm Extension through Impact 1. Place a full roll of toilet paper between your forearms at address. 2. Do a half swing and keep the toilet roll connected between the forearms. Simply work on half swings for this drill. 3. To maintain connection with shaft-lean at impact, your forearms should squeeze against the toilet roll. 4. Through impact, maintain your width and arm extension. 5. You will complete this drill with an abbreviated follow through as shown and complete the drill with you weight fully on the lead foot. 12 RESORT VIEW
