Fall 2013 Induction Ceremony!
A huge welcome & applause
to our most recent NSCS Inductees!
The NSCS chapter at the University of Hawaii at Manoa held
its annual New Member Induction
Ceremony on Saturday, October
5, 2013. We inducted the 25 new
members who attended the event.
We started the ceremony
with opening remarks from our
former President, Matthew Isaacs-Kalahiki. He introduced the
officer board as well as our new
faculty advisor, Dr. Christine
Beaule, from the Department of
Languages and Literature of Europe
and the Americas. Former dedicated
NSCS member and Vice President
of Community Service, Zach Hannah, was our Distinguished Member
of the year. As he gave his speech
about his involvement in NSCS and
the community service events that he
provided for the members, current
and new members present at the ceremony remembered the importance
of academics, leadership, and service.
His speech gave us inspiring words,
with which to live our NSCS lives.
