Step 8 Step 9 & 10 Continue with your light buttercream and leaf tip , and start piping a frill around the base of your cake . We have left approx 1cm between our piping and the cake to allow for the next row of buttercream .
Now we will pipe the league shell border at the base using our medium coloured buttercream ( same as the cake ) and our # 1M tip . Squeeze the buttercream whilst you lift the tip slightly , then gently pull back as you release your grip , then start again and repeat around your cake . To add detail to our drapes , over pipe the drapes with the darker buttercream and 21 # tip using a shell pattern .
Step 11 Step 12 Using your light coloured buttercream and leaf tip again , pipe a frill around the top edge of the base tier , and the top edge of the top tier .
Using your medium coloured buttercream again and your # 1M tip , pipe a shell border around the base of the top tier , and the inner edge of the top tier .
