QUESTION TIME
WITH A NORWEX
LEADER
Lara O’Neill . Senior Executive Sales Leader
When did you join Norwex and what inspired you to
become a Consultant?
I joined Norwex in September 2014 for the same reason
most of us began, the opportunity to purchase these
brilliant products at a discount! Being a partier was
never on my radar because “I could NEVER do that.” I
even threw the Go For The Goal Booklet into the rubbish
without reading it because “people like me can’t earn
things like that”. However, as we recommend, I hosted
my own launch party, earnt around $450 in cash and
paid for the new reading glasses which were arriving
that week, I didn’t even have to dip into the “family
money” to do it! Ok, maybe I could just do the three
parties that booked from mine, save up a little extra cash
for Christmas, then that would be it… The rest as they
say is history!
How has being part of Norwex changed your life and
the lives of your family?
There are very few people in my life now that actually
know the person I was before Norwex, and those who
did know me then still comment, nearly three years
on, as to how much I have grown as a person. I love
sharing my story with others about my journey with
this remarkable company because without it, I wouldn’t
be the person I am today, and if I can help someone
who can relate, then that’s even better. Before Norwex,
I couldn’t go out in public on my own, I couldn’t do
something as simple as going to our local supermarket
to get bread and milk without suffering debilitating
anxiety attacks. Everything had to be planned around
when my partner, Michael, or my mum were available
to come with me. It was frustrating, it destroyed any
confidence I had in myself and made me feel like a
terrible mother, because my boys, Jaxon, 4 at the
time, and Zac, two at the time, were missing out on
playgroups, outings to the park, NORMAL things that I
should have been able to do. It hadn’t always been like
this, sadly depression set in after Zac had been born, and

while things had improved ALOT since then, there was
still a ways to go.
What have been your major achievements in your
Norwex career?
There have been so, so many achievements in my career
so far. Every single promotion, from Team Leader, right
up to my most recent promotion to Senior Executive
Sales Leader, was something I never thought I could
do. Earning two Leaders Conferences, first to the Blue
Mountains, and then to Uluru, travelling to Hawaii as
part of our Go For The Goal program and more recently,
achieving South Africa. But the biggest achievement,
for me, has been the growth of our Team. A Team that
I consider a second family. A Team that celebrates
together, not only Norwex wins, but life events, too.
Without my Team of Jasper Gems, none of the other
achievements would have been possible.
What is your favourite product and why?
Our Body Cloths... The one single reason why I joined
this company. Here’s my Norwex story:
My mum was hosting a Norwex demo after doing the
rounds of others. She came to see me in hospital after
a surgery, I still had anaesthetic in my system, and she
brought a catalogue with her, and I said I’d go. The next
day when the anaesthetic had worn off, lol, I thought,
“Mum, really, a cleaning party? I’m so not going.” But
hey, she was my mum so I was kind of obliged to go.
So I went, and won the door prize, after never winning
anything in my life. The product demos also just blew
me away, and I bought a few things and went home to
try out my door prize, one of these Body Cloths. I have/
had suffered acne since I was 12, at the time of mum’s
party, I
