GET TO KNOW OUR NORWEX LEADERS
Huge congratulations to our new Senior Executive Sales Leaders, promoted in May!
Kylie Douglass. Senior Executive Sales Leader
Two and a half years ago, a good friend said to me,“ Norwex is coming to New Zealand. Do you know anyone that might be interested?” Little did I know at the time what an impact that question would have! Fast forward to May 2017, and I have just done my 200th party, had my best sales month since I started, and I also achieved my goal of promoting to Senior Executive Sales Leader.
I remember seeing all those“ Red Jackets” on the stage at the first Norwex Conference I went to – the 2016 Leadership Conference in the Blue Mountains – and never expected to one day being wearing my own! I am immensely proud to have been with Norwex since the day it launched in New Zealand, and I can now add to that and say that I feel extremely privileged to be the first Senior Executive Sales Leader in the South Island, joining two other amazing Leaders in the North Island.
Like many other Norwex Consultants, I don’ t come from a background in sales. In fact, I originally started my working career as a Primary School teacher. But when I was offered the Norwex opportunity, I had been a stayat-home Mum for 8 years, with a part-time photography business on the side. Norwex was a‘ leap of faith’ considering I’ d never really seen or even tried the product before joining, and I remember thinking that even if it just lasts til Christmas and pays for our Christmas holiday I’ d be happy!
But two years later, Norwex has been such a complete game changer for me and my family! It not only brings in a second income, but even more importantly, I feel valued as a person again. I am able to go out and socialise with other adults whilst having a‘ job’ that fits in perfectly around being a Mum. I even had to get a passport after not having one for 11 years as there’ s the fantastic Norwex Conferences in Australia, and of course amazing incentive trips to places like Hawaii last year and South Africa in September this year!
Growing my Team has been something I have thoroughly enjoyed. Admittedly, I started off a little slowly, but with a few gentle nudges in the right direction by the lovely Trina Stewart, I started to make progress! I double promoted to Team Leader and then Sales Leader in September 2015, Executive Sales Leader in September 2016, and now Senior Executive Sales Leader in May 2017. I have always had incredible support from both my Upline, Kerryn James, and also Zelia Malherbe, and I know I definitely wouldn’ t have reached my recent promotion without their belief and encouragement!
For others thinking about promoting to a new Leadership level, the best recommendation I can give is, tell your Team your goal and work together towards achieving it. Tell them you need their help, and keep them up to date with how you are going throughout the month. Get them excited about it too. And, finally, don’ t be afraid to give it a go! You just never know what might happen!
I can’ t wait to see where the next year, two years, five years takes me in my Norwex journey! I am looking forward to continuing to grow my Team, develop Leaders, and to continue to grow myself in terms of both personal development and leadership. Thank you Norwex for this incredible opportunity!
