A huge congratulations to Rebecca Hayward for becoming our first Senior Executive Sales Leader for the Western Australia region.
The first Senior Executive Sales Leader in Western Australia is a huge achievement. What does that mean to you?
I never thought I would be the first Senior Executive Sales Leader in W. A. I mean – I only work part-time! But … I’ m a little competitive( it’ s a strength AND a weakness of mine!) so when it started to look like a possibility, it was what drove me! And of course the idea of getting to stay at the Palazzo Versace; so it HAD to happen in May! But I love that my Team have been really excited by this too. I hope it will bring greater opportunities for my development so that, in turn, I can be better at helping them to develop their businesses too.
You are attending our June Senior Leader Retreat at the Palazzo Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast. What are you most looking forward to?
I always say this about every Norwex trip … time away from the kids! Haha don’ t get me wrong – I love them to bits. But for a few days, I only have to feed MYSELF, clean up after MYSELF and put MYSELF to bed! It refreshes me. It recharges my batteries so I can come back and be a better mum!
But the next thing is being amongst all those inspirational ladies that I have looked up to for so long – never imagining that I could one day be a Senior Leader myself. The friends I have made from every conference are priceless and I know the Senior Leaders Retreat will be the same! A few of those friends, who I met at my first conference, who have supported me along the way, will be there! So of course there may( definitely) be some celebration bubbles with them!
How has the last month been for you? What strategies did you put in place to make this happen?
May was insane! My Team only ever had about 70-80 % of the required numbers to promote in engaged or active recruits( about 60 either engaged or active). However after hearing Delores VanDenBoogaard( Canadian Norwex superstar) talk at Leadership Conference in February and say that 80 % activity is the time to try, I figured why not. If we don’ t get there, it will only make us stronger as a Team! I needed 75 to all submit a $ 250 Subtotal A order – all in the same month!
So I let my Leaders, and prospective Leaders know my plan in April. I had a cash draw. If anyone engaged in May, they got an entry. If they engaged before the 20th, they got 2 entries into the draw. I also ran a Facebook Mega Party to help my non-partying Consultants share Norwex with their family and friends and gather a party order. I was also on the phone, email and messenger a LOT offering assistance and encouraging people to engage in May.
On the 23rd of May we weren’ t even half way there! It didn’ t look like it was going to happen but I pushed on as there were several other prospective promotions in the Team so if I could help with those I was happy.
With 3 days to go, I still had 18 to engage. Hubby was doubtful it would happen and was trying to prepare me for the prospect that it wouldn’ t, but by then I had seen the support from my Team and knew deep down it was going to happen. Stressful though! Why does everyone have to leave it till the last minute!! I was busy trying to prepare HIM that it probably would – which would mean I would be going to the Gold Coast in 2 weeks and MAYBE the huge month will also mean I will earn Dallas … Which I did! Amazing!!
The support from my Team absolutely blew me away! They were on fire and I of course couldn’ t have done it without them!
Tell us about your family, and how they have supported you in your journey?
It was my husband in the beginning that actually encouraged me to give parties a go( I just joined for the discount!)! Up until this week, my husband has worked FIFO( Fly-in Fly-Out). I had a 2 year old when I first started and gave birth to my youngest nearly a year into my Norwex journey. Norwex has slotted in perfectly with them – it has given me something to think about other than changing nappies and cooking dinner and cleaning( my own house anyway!). I started off with 6-8 parties a month and slowed to about 1-2 parties
