Making connections between concepts being taught in the classroom and deepening students' understanding through hands-on experiences is a primary goal in the Hughes library. library lessons are engaging, rich in content, and always include a literature component - sometimes students don't even realize they are learning! "The library is my favorite place in the whole school!" - Charlie, 3rd grade student "I wish we could come to the library everyday. It's the best!" - Mekhi, 5th grade student Technology is used in a variety of ways to deepen student learning and invoke exploration. Second through fifth grade students use a Google Classroom specifically created for the library to search for books, use online databases,  read books online, and participate in library class activities. iPad are available to all students to use in creating projects and for reading books online.  EXPLORE IN THE LIBRARY AT HUGHES ELEMENTARY
