CITY OF WHITE BEAR LAKE
In the City of White Bear Lake, Polar Chevrolet is building a
new dealership at the corner of Highway 61 and County Road
F. Once finished, the giant white bear that originally sat atop
the old Thane Hawkins dealership will remain on site to proudly
welcome people to the City.
The $30 million project is
bringing something to the City
it previously didn’t offer, higher
amenity housing. The rental units
will feature granite countertops
and stainless-steel appliances and
community amenities including
a dog park, fitness facility and
outdoor swimming pool.
Just a few miles away, Schafer Richardson of Minneapolis is
transforming what used to be five vacant residential parcels at
the northwest corner of County Road E and Linden Avenue into
a 192-unit market rate apartment building. “We felt this was a
desired use for the property, as it will bring more households
into the City to support businesses along the County Road E
corridor,” said Anne Kane, Community Development Director
for the City of White Bear Lake.
Also in 2020, work will
continue on planning for major
infrastructure projects, the Bruce
Vento and Around the Lake trails.
