HEALTHCARE IN THE NORTHEAST METRO AREA
O
ne of the top trends in
health care these days is
consolidation. While often
thought of as a practice involving
mergers, acquisitions and facility
closures, it can also mean reducing
costs and improving efficiencies
through affiliation agreements.
The latter is what is currently underway
in the Twin Cities thanks to VHEDC
supporter Twin Cities Orthopedics
(TCO). In Oct. 2019, TCO launched
Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health),
an independent physician practice
that now includes operating divisions
of cardiology, family medicine,
orthopedics and women’s health.
“At TCO, we believe independent
physicians are at the core of changing
healthcare, which is why we founded
i-Health. Although the industry
34
Northeast Metro Business
continues trending toward more
narrow networks and confined systems,
i-Health is taking another direction,”
said TCO Chief Operating Officer
Aaron Johnson. “By preserving patient
choice, and by helping independent
physicians remain independent, we
believe we’re making healthcare better
for everyone.”
Among the many benefits combining
services and resources offers: cost
savings, improved clinical integration
and care coordination, higher care
quality and improved access to
advanced technology.
Twin Cities Orthopedics has had a
strong presence in the Northeast Metro
since Dec. 2017, when the practice
opened a new state-of-the-art clinic
next to the Vadnais Sports Center.
In 2020, Twin Cities Orthopedics has
acquired the naming rights to the
Vadnais Sports Center which will be
known as the TCO Sports Garden.
TCO is proud to support the local
community in a number of ways,
including being the Official Sports
Medicine Provider for three local high
schools and 21 in total across the
metro, as well as supporting dozens of
youth teams, booster clubs, and other
athletic groups in the Northeast Metro
area.
