East Brunswick Local 145 celebrates the career of longtime
member Jeff Marino, who recently retired after 26 years of ded-
icated service.
Marino’s success in law enforcement began early on in his
career, when he was awarded the Marksmanship Award upon
graduation from the Middlesex County Police Academy in
1992. Marino went on to serve in multiple capacities over the
course of his career with the East Brunswick Police Depart-
ment. During his time in the patrol division, he made count-
less arrests for CDS, credit card fraud, shoplifting and weapons
possession, as well as numerous other crimes. He later played
fundamental roles in the investigative division’s anti-crime
unit, narcotics task force, the SWAT team and the Middlesex
County special operations response team.
In 2014, Marino was promoted to lieutenant and served as
watch commander of the patrol division until his retirement.
Marino’s proactive approach to the job and outstanding
performance have earned him many prestigious awards, in-
cluding the Middlesex County 200 Club Valor Award and Meri-
torious Service Award, two East Brunswick Police Department
Life Saving Awards, two East Brunswick Police Department
Meritorious Service Awards and 15 Letters of Commendation.
Local 145 honors Marino as a dedicated member who con-
