Modern languages were delighted to organise a trip for a group of S3 students to visit a Modern Languages movie workshop , called Our World , in Glasgow .
The event was organised by the Scottish European Educational Trust . We had to design a story board based on one of the UN Sustainable Goals ( we chose peace , justice and strong institutions ). The pupils worked for 2 months every Friday with me on the story board . We were one of 20 teams selected across Scotland ( a fantastic achievement given there were more than 200 entries ). Students had the opportunity to film and edit the movie .
Our movie was entirely shot in German and we even got PC Harrower to give us some props . It tells the story of a homeless man who gets wrongly accused of stealing just because he is poor . The judge gets bribed by the real thief - a rich woman , to condemn him . However , the judge does what is right and sends her to jail for theft and bribery .
The Film Premiere and Award Ceremony will be on 12th June in Glasgow . The pupils involved are Skye W , Rhys G , Logan W and Finlay C . Well done to everyone involved !
