House Points Pizza Prize !

Congratulations to Fullarton as they have won the house point prize for the first term . Near the end of term , they will get a Domino ' s pizza lunch prize !
However , the whole competition is not yet finished , there is still the grand prize to be awarded for the overall winner at the end of the school year . So , keep up the good work !

Careers Day Event
On Friday 9 th February , from period 2 to period 4 , our school hosted our 2024 edition of careers day . This was a day for over 40 employers in and around South Ayrshire to come and share their knowledge to the pupils about employment , for when they leave school . It was set up in both the North and South Plazas , but we were able to have many people who worked in the NHS join us in the assembly hall , with a wide range of employers from dentists to fire-fighters , consultants to teachers , there were truly many people visiting .
The pupils were given the opportunity to ask questions to the visitors , such as “ what did you study ?” or “ why did you want to go into this field of work ?” and “ Did you have to go to university / college ?”. Many pupils from S2 to S4 said it was extremely helpful to know how to get their dream career , and what it was like to have it as your job . It was also helpful to know if you should reconsider your dream job for reasons like pay or working hours .
Options Choices !

Recently all the S1 , S2 , S3 , S4 and S5 ' s ( who are staying on next year ) have been busy picking their options . The S1 ' s have picked an elective to do for half the year next year before moving onto Spanish . The S2 ' s have picked two electives ( one for each half of the year ) and about 6 other subjects to do for the whole year . The S3 ' s have been picking subjects to take forward to their first year doing exams on .
