Summer is here at last!
Whether you are looking for
ways how to fill pre-school
summer holidays or just
want to make the most of the
nice weather, here are 10
ideas for you -
1. Cool off with ice-cream direct
from an ice-cream farm in Barnet.
Lewis of London have been dairy
farming at Fold Farm for decades
and have now opened a small ar-
ea to sell direct to the public. This
includes a small play area with a
sandpit, tractor and hay-bales.
Drinks also available as well as
the ice-cream!

3. Visit your local library to take
part in the annual Summer Read-
ing Challenge, run the by Reading
Agency. This year’s theme is
“Animal Agents”! The initiative
aims to spark a love of reading for
pleasure and promotes your local
library as a great place to visit.
Read six library books with your
child to complete the Challenge.
4. Plan a park visit with a differ-
ence! We have so many wonder-

turn a usual haunt into a new ex-
perience by going early for a
breakfast picnic or staying late for
tea.

fountain outside or Enfield Town
library or the Splash Pads at
Enfield Town, Ponders End or
Durants Parks.

hour or so of seeing the animals
