Meshea L. Poore
State Delegate
Charleston, West Virginia
Meshea L. Poore was sworn into the West Virginia House of Delegates in
2010. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Howard
University in Washington, DC. While in the nation’s capital, Delegate
Poore worked for Congressman James E. Clyburn of South Carolina, and
interned at the Democratic National Committee. She went on to obtain a
doctor of jurisprudence degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Poore returned to West Virginia in 2004 and began working as a public defender for Kanawha
County. She left the public defender’s office in November 2009 and is now sole practitioner and
owner of The Law Office of Meshea L. Poore. Delegate Poore is a member of the West Virginia
State Bar and the Alabama State Bar Association. @MesheaPoore
Alex Pratt
School Committee Member
Littleton, Massachusetts
Alex Pratt was elected to the Littleton School Committee in May of
2013. He is a college student at Northeastern University, and a teaching
assistant at the Harvard University Extension School. Committee Member
Pratt serves as co-chair of the pursuit of excellence task force and as school
committee representative to the permanent municipal building committee. He
has testified before the legislature’s joint committee on education, on bills impacting students’
well-being and performance, and has published articles on education policy in the Littleton
Independent, the Lowell Sun, and the Boston Globe. While in high school, Pratt advised the
