The story of Moritz International begins simply in the early 70's with a farmer needing a better piece of equipment to run his business. Undeterred by the lack of availability of high enough quality equipment to meet his needs, he set out to design and build trailers for the operation with the strength and durability he believed they should be built. A live-stock trailer would be his first design, and it wasn't long after the first trailer was built that Thomas Moritz realized that manufacturing might be his calling.
Moritz understood that if he was going to enter a business such as this, he would need two teams. Being in the early 70's there is no automation or computers to speak of, he knew first and foremost he would need top-level craftsmen and fabricators to build units with the same passion and commitment to excellence that he had. If he couldn't put out a superior product there would be no sense in building them in the first place. Those standards of excellence continue today, matching our master fabricators with the latest in manufacturing technology.

He also knew that he needed a team of high-quality dealers to represent the company. "At Moritz International, we realize our current and future success rests with our outstanding dealer network. Without them, Moritz does not exist". Most of our dealer's inventories are multiple trailer manufacturers (we encourage this) and our goal at Moritz is to be the easiest to do business with. It is easy to work with dealers in good times, but we measure our success with dealer relationships during challenging times. These items may include warranty issues, shipping, and other challenges that can arise. We pride ourselves on delivering to our dealers a great product and unmatched service.
