JamieDobbs911 would lead the way to the green and would pull away as 2nd place LupeG575 would get taken out by Southernshots. This would cause a massive wreck throughout the field and pave an easy way for JamieDobbs911 to take victory. This marks Dobbs 3rd win of the season, although his bonus points will be null unless he can pass LupeG575 before chase time. Wild cards do not get the bonus points added onto chase seeding.
There are now just 3 races until the chase, and although it looks like the chase is set a lot of things can happen. There are still many drivers with 1 win that could technically get 4 wins. We are at Infineon next week for the Jason Leffler tribute race.

The Jason Leffler Tribute race was selected to be held at Sonoma as it is a home state racetrack for him. A field of 11 drivers took the course trying to conquer the tricky track and also to bring home the special tribute sticker. All proceeds for the sticker went directly to Jason’s son so it’s like a league donation and prize at the same time which everyone at CPR is proud of.
As for the race, JamieDobbs911 would grab the pole with a 1:13:21 and would get the all important 1st starting spot. Megatron8121 would grab 2nd, with LupeG575′s incredible streak of 7 straight poles ending with a 3rd place starting position. Points leader oddball1791 would have to start 9th after a game glitch would cost him a chance at grabbing the pole.
The race format set up for the leader to really pace the race and make up his own strategy. Those from 5th on back would have to try something different in order to take home the win as passing on Sonoma is very difficult even if you are way faster. JamieDobbs911 would do just as expected and jump out to a big lead before pit stops. He would lead by 6 seconds coming into the pits and pull out to a whopping 22 second lead exiting.
LupeG575 would grab 2nd after falling back as far as 5th in the opening stages, but would then get passed by Megatron8121 who took tires on the stop. Oddball1791 who had to fight all race to get track position would be 4th before being passed late in the race by Swagger-Racing26 who was the fastest car after pit stops.
Dobbs911 would lead 19 of 22 laps and eventually took home the checkered flag in a really uncontested race for 1st. This marks his 4th win, although none will count towards bonus points in the chase unless he can get top 4 in points. Megatron would tie a career best 2nd, with LupeG575 grabbing 3rd. CP3Baseball would take home a career best 6th, with first time cup attendee Pez8199 grabbing 8th.
The road course was not as kind to Webbs6212, Collton, and ChadRick32 as they would finish 9th,10th,and 11th.

Lupeg575 Busts out his Broom Again
With just two races remaining until the chase, Chicagoland was a pivotal race in regards to chase seeding. LupeG575 returned to form grabbing another pole.
Just like the Verizon Grand National Series race, it looked like it was coming down to either LupeG575 or Swagger-Racing. LupeG575 led the most laps, but Swagger-Racing had the lead late. It was deju vu for Swagger unfortunately as a caution came out and he would lose the lead.
