Cheshire Hall Plantation

During the days of the American Revolution, the Turks and Caicos were still part of the Bahamas which is where colonials loyal to the King of England fled. The loyalists fled with their slaves and Cheshire Hall became one of the most prominent plantations with hundreds of slaves. Today the Hall is recognized as one of the region’ s most important historical sites.

Whale Watching- Salt Cay

Between the months of January and early April, Humpback Whales are often seen around the Turks and Caicos Islands. Perhaps the best vantage point from which to see them is Salt Cay, sometimes referred to as Whale Headquarters. Here Captain Ollie who was born and raised on the cay, is an expert at sighting these magnificent beasts of the sea and with his guidance, many visitors are able to witness the Whale’ s magnificence for themselves.
