Community in shock after teen stabbing discharged from hospital a week later. Despite a police dog unit attending the scene alongside o?cers no arrests have been made and enquiries are on-going. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community. “People here were very shocked that it happened so close to home and to someone so young,” admits Debbie Stears of the Pinner Hill Community Centre. “Most of the kids here play in that park so it’s frightening. A lot of the parents thought about stopping their children going there but you have to carry on. Even so, it is so worrying for us with it being on our doorstep.” And father-of-three Matthew Dias believes lessons must be learnt. The stabbing took place in ANToNeYs CLose SToRY bY Caron Kemp esidents are still reeling from the stabbing of a teenage boy in Pinner Green earlier in the Summer. “You just don’t expect that sort of thing around here,” he concedes. “It opens your eyes to the fact that knife crime isn’t just somebody else’s problem.
